Lithium-Thionyl Chloride primary (non-rechargable) batteries
Two batteries wired in parallel. Each battery has four "D-sized" cells
Capacity: 600 milliamp-hours at -80 C (-112 F)
Operating range: 6 to 14 volts
Shelf life: 2.5 years
Low weight: 40 grams (1.4 ounces) per cell
Capable of surviving high shock (<60,000 Gs)
